The form shows best on uniform, easily carved materials that hold fine relief — mammoth ivory, dense wood, horn and bone — where the carving comes out crisp and patina, over time, underscores every line of the ornament.

Handmade by Dima (Ohotnik Chetki i Rezba). It cannot be reproduced exactly. Overall length 22 cm, weight 59 g. This piece is sold; we can craft a similar one to order.
