Strict classic in walrus tusk — handmade, one of a kind, no. 231.
It is recognised at once by its double structure: a dense white outer layer and a core of secondary dentine with a marbled, crystalline grain — this inner pattern is the walrus's signature, by which the material is identified beyond doubt. We cover the “walrus tusk” material separately.
When the form is reduced to a pure sphere, everything rests on the material: the slightest unevenness of grain, any imprecision in sizing or weak polish shows at once.
