Cushions in juma — handmade, one of a kind, no. 238.

In its properties it is close to micarta but denser and more uniform: a thermoplastic composite that does not absorb moisture at all and is unbothered by water, sweat, household chemicals, and temperature swings. We cover the “juma” material separately.

The form is best revealed on dense, uniform materials with real texture — stabilised mammoth ivory, ebony, dark horn and tight stone fruit pits — where each facet holds a clean line and polishes a beautiful patina.
