Cushions in pink ivory wood — handmade, one of a kind, no. 449.
The wood is exceptionally dense, heavy, and fine-grained, which lets it polish to a deep, almost waxy shine with no lacquer at all — the surface seems to glow from within. Read more about the material on the “pink ivory wood” page.
The form is best revealed on dense, uniform materials with real texture — stabilised mammoth ivory, ebony, dark horn and tight stone fruit pits — where each facet holds a clean line and polishes a beautiful patina.
Handmade by Aleksey (Chetkodeel). It cannot be reproduced exactly. Overall length 22 cm, weight 35.5 g. This piece is sold; we can craft a similar one to order.
