Under the single word "wood" lies a whole world of species — from pale juniper and pear to dense tropical and fruit woods — each offering its own color, grain figure, scent, and character. We cover the “exotic wood” material separately.

Carvers favour this cut because it offers two characters at once — the flats catch and return light in even highlights, while the rounded edges stay smooth in the fingers and never bite the skin during a long roll.
