Carpet in mammoth ivory — handmade, one of a kind, no. 666.

In the hand mammoth ivory is noticeably dense and cool at first, but it quickly takes the warmth of the palm, seeming to come alive at the touch. We cover the “mammoth ivory” material separately.

Carpet is a string with a richly worked surface covered edge to edge in pattern: the grains are carved or composed so densely that the whole cord reads as a single ornamental cloth, with no empty smooth stretches.

Handmade by Dima (Ohotnik Chetki i Rezba). It cannot be reproduced exactly. Overall length 22 cm, weight 50 g. This piece is sold; we can craft a similar one to order.
