Carpet in Aramith bowling ball — handmade, one of a kind, no. 896.
Aramith phenolic resin was engineered to withstand years of heavy impact without chipping or cracking, so the material is exceptionally dense, hard, and uniform. We cover the “Aramith bowling ball” material separately.
The form shows best on uniform, easily carved materials that hold fine relief — mammoth ivory, dense wood, horn and bone — where the carving comes out crisp and patina, over time, underscores every line of the ornament.
Handmade by Sergey (Dzhentelmen Chetki). It cannot be reproduced exactly. Overall length 21 cm, weight 42 g. This piece is sold; we can craft a similar one to order.
