Mammoth ivory is fossil bone that lay in the permafrost of Yakutia and Chukotka for ten to forty thousand years. We cover the “mammoth ivory” material separately.
Carpet is a string with a richly worked surface covered edge to edge in pattern: the grains are carved or composed so densely that the whole cord reads as a single ornamental cloth, with no empty smooth stretches.
Handmade by Dima (Ohotnik Chetki i Rezba). One of a kind. Overall length 22 cm, weight 57 g. Available now.
