Today, all prize pieces for international tournaments are made by masters almost entirely through sheer enthusiasm. I believe that all work should be valued and paid for. That is why, in future, it would be right to create a voluntary support fund for the international tournament. Anyone could make a symbolic contribution — one or two euros, or any other comfortable amount. All funds raised should be used exclusively to form the prize fund and support the masters who create the prize pieces. This would make the tournament’s development more sustainable and offer fair thanks to the people who have spent years investing their time, effort and own money in developing the world of worry beads.
