German ebonite worry beads are prized for combining the noble, "rubbery" warmth of ebonite with the expressive decorative quality of stone or resin. We cover the “German colored ebonite” material separately.

The form shows best on contrasting, dense, fine-grained materials — mammoth ivory with ebony and horn, amber, coloured stone — where even on a tiny bead the material boundaries stay clean and the pattern never blurs.
