Cushions in Aramith billiard ball — handmade, one of a kind, no. 162.
Aramith phenolic resin is all but wear-proof, does not fade, and shrugs off moisture and sweat, so patina is minimal and the look stays pristine; care comes down to a wipe with a cloth and an occasional light polish. More on the material’s properties in the “Aramith billiard ball” section.
Carvers favour this cut because it offers two characters at once — the flats catch and return light in even highlights, while the rounded edges stay smooth in the fingers and never bite the skin during a long roll.
Handmade by Renat Kartavyh. It cannot be reproduced exactly. Overall length 22.5 cm, weight 46.5 g. This piece is sold; we can craft a similar one to order.
