Gorbushki in textolite — handmade, one of a kind, no. 242.
Textolite worry beads are often made from aged Soviet stock, and that is part of their charm: the material is time-tested, dense, honest, with none of the modern cost-cutting. More on the material’s properties in the “textolite” section.
Gorbushki are strings with beads of a convex, humped profile: each grain swells noticeably toward the middle in a smooth hump and draws in at the ends, giving the strand a rhythmic, wavy silhouette.
Handmade by Zhenya Kartavyh. Made once and never repeated. Overall length 20 cm, weight 35 g. This piece is sold; we can craft a similar one to order.
