German colored ebonite (often marked SEM / SEM Hartgummi) is a modern, premium-grade hard rubber that, unlike classic black ebonite, comes in a rich palette: deep burgundy, tobacco, amber, emerald, marbled and multicolored blends. The form shows best on dense, uniform, well-polished materials — mammoth ivory, black ebony, dark horn and tight stone — where each of the six facets holds a flawlessly clean line.
