The material turns into a dense, perfectly smooth surface and polishes to a deep, "glassy" mirror shine that lasts for years. More on the material’s properties in the “Aramith billiard ball” section.
Carpet is a string with a richly worked surface covered edge to edge in pattern: the grains are carved or composed so densely that the whole cord reads as a single ornamental cloth, with no empty smooth stretches.
Handmade by Nikolay. The only one of its kind. Overall length 22 cm, weight 36.3 g. This piece is sold; we can craft a similar one to order.
