By nature it is keratin, the same material as nails and hair, so horn feels alive and warms quickly in the hand. More on the material’s properties in the “buffalo horn” section.

The form is best revealed on dense, uniform materials with real texture — stabilised mammoth ivory, ebony, dark horn and tight stone fruit pits — where each facet holds a clean line and polishes a beautiful patina.
