Mosaic in Aramith bowling ball — handmade, one of a kind, no. 602.
The greater source diameter gives the craftsman more material and different color combinations than billiard balls offer, making these beads especially rare and collectible. More on the material’s properties in the “Aramith bowling ball” section.
It shows best in high-contrast pairings — pale mammoth ivory with dark ebony and horn, amber with wood, coloured stone — where the material boundaries read cleanly and the pattern speaks at full voice.
Handmade by Sergey (Dzhentelmen Chetki). Made once and never repeated. Overall length 21.5 cm, weight 41 g. This piece is sold; we can craft a similar one to order.
