Mosaic

Mosaic beads are composite: each bead is built from several materials like a miniature stained-glass piece — thin plates or segments of differing colour and texture are bonded and turned into a single grain, so a crisp geometric pattern emerges across the surface. The name comes from the art technique — the maker truly lays out an image, and two identical beads are nearly impossible to produce. Assembly demands jeweller's precision: the seams must be invisible and the materials close in density, or the bead will delaminate under handling. Mosaic is worked slowly and admiringly — you reach for it not for speed but to roll and study it, like a kaleidoscope in the hand. The surface feels monolithic, without steps, while the pattern shimmers as it turns to the light. The sound is collected and dense, slightly muted by the joints. The model's signature is decorative complexity and the uniqueness of every example: this is an object piece, a display of craft. It shows best in high-contrast pairings — pale mammoth ivory with dark ebony and horn, amber with wood, coloured stone — where the material boundaries read cleanly and the pattern speaks at full voice.
