The patina of aged ivory is deep and honeyed, threaded with fine age cracks. We cover the “elephant ivory” material separately.
The format shows best on smooth, pleasantly gliding, moderately heavy materials — mammoth ivory, amber, polished stone and dense wood — which give a clean run and a long, soothing rhythm.
