Peribory in grenadill wood — handmade, one of a kind, no. 766.
Grenadill (African blackwood, Dalbergia melanoxylon) is one of the densest and most valuable woods on the planet, the traditional material for oboes, clarinets, bagpipes, and presentation chess sets. We cover the “grenadill wood” material separately.
The format shows best on smooth, pleasantly gliding, moderately heavy materials — mammoth ivory, amber, polished stone and dense wood — which give a clean run and a long, soothing rhythm.
Handmade by Karen (Laboratoriya Chetok). It cannot be reproduced exactly. Overall length 18.5 cm, weight 72.7 g. This piece is sold; we can craft a similar one to order.
