Colour ranges from deep black and graphite to honey, amber, and mottled tortoiseshell, depending on the part of the horn; dark buffalo horn can show a beautiful translucency against the light. More on the material’s properties in the “buffalo horn” section.
When the form is reduced to a pure sphere, everything rests on the material: the slightest unevenness of grain, any imprecision in sizing or weak polish shows at once.
Handmade by Vitaliy (ChetkiX). It cannot be reproduced exactly. Overall length 22 cm, weight 37 g. This piece is sold; we can craft a similar one to order.
