Peribory in Soviet ebonite — handmade, one of a kind, no. 809.
Ebonite began as an industrial insulator and as stock for mouthpieces, combs, and instrument housings, so Soviet reserves are dense, honest rubber without modern cost-cutting fillers. Read more about the material on the “Soviet ebonite” page.
The format shows best on smooth, pleasantly gliding, moderately heavy materials — mammoth ivory, amber, polished stone and dense wood — which give a clean run and a long, soothing rhythm.
Handmade by Sergey (Dzhentelmen Chetki). The only one of its kind. Overall length 22 cm, weight 50 g. This piece is sold; we can craft a similar one to order.
