Peribory in grenadill wood — handmade, one of a kind, no. 823.

The beads feel warm, as wood should, but unusually heavy and dense — the roll comes out substantial and "weighty," closer to the sensation of stone than of light wood. More on the material’s properties in the “grenadill wood” section.

The maker carefully balances calibre and the gap between grains: too tight and the flow bogs down, too loose and the rhythm is lost, so well-judged peribory are prized for their measured, almost musical run.
