The Strict Classic model consists of flat links that resemble piano keys. It became known as the Strict Classic because it is one of the earliest and most recognizable forms of flip worry beads. In essence, it is a time-tested classic of the genre, familiar to several generations of collectors. That is why the name Strict Classic became firmly associated with this model.
Features and intended use
The model’s defining strength is how well it supports learning the “helicopter”. This exercise is a continuous rotation of the worry beads around two fingers. Strict Classic is therefore the model most often recommended to beginners who want to master this spin.
First, Strict Classic sits very steadily on the fingers. Second, the flat links create the largest possible contact area, which significantly improves grip. Third, its geometry is better suited to an even, repeatable helicopter rotation than to classic flips. It is less comfortable than the Cushion model for ordinary flipping, but is considered more responsive and predictable for the helicopter.

Personally, I would choose a Strict Classic with numbered ends made from an Aramith billiard ball . In my view, it is one of the most successful versions of the Strict Classic, and I have examples like this in my own collection.
But if we are talking about the true classic among classics, it is unquestionably the Strict Classic in Soviet ebonite . I believe every collector should own a pair, because it forms the foundation of any serious collection.
