Gorbushki in micarta — handmade, one of a kind, no. 485.
The feel is distinctive: slightly "velvety," with a soft matte or satin sheen, warmer than stone and nicer than cold plastic; with handling it gradually builds a soft luster and a deeper tone — the prized hand patina. More on the material’s properties in the “micarta” section.
Gorbushki are strings with beads of a convex, humped profile: each grain swells noticeably toward the middle in a smooth hump and draws in at the ends, giving the strand a rhythmic, wavy silhouette.
Handmade by Zhenya Kartavyh. The only one of its kind. Overall length 22 cm, weight 38.8 g. This piece is sold; we can craft a similar one to order.
